I love seeing you and Geoganne sharing ideas and pushing each other (in nice wonderful ways) to inspire the rest of us. I see a dog bone in the pajama bottoms (cutting the lumps off one end of the bone). I am trying so hard not to buy any more cutters and adapt what I have--but I did run out to Michaels last night and bought the nesting flowers! I WISH WISH American Crafts made/packaged the Feather/Leaf nested cutters, those used for the poinsettia platter! (hint hint) :) Thanks for the inspiration. You have taught me so much. I get so many compliments on the cookie platters I make for the grand kids birthday parties.

Hi

I am a newbie and I couldn't work out the best place to post my question and some comments.

I love your site and janet, georgeane, lisa, mike, sally, amber to name a few I go between all of them.

I like the easy to follow tutorials. i only have about 15 cutters so templates and guides have been useful. I did up all these templates cut dough and ready to use the push pin trick but ended up free-handing. Which was odd for me as I have no artistic ability at all. I have only made 2 batches with a few recipes but I love it (well all things dessert). royal Icing - Janets, and strawberry royal Icing to get closer to red (based on Janets raspberry one) and your chocolate royal icing that was great in taste but also got black without the bitter taste you speak of.

I have a question about the Air Bubbles. I am assuming there is some sort of special knack to bursting them. I hope there is a no dumb question clause. It seems simple but I have not been that successful.

I am using a toothpick - i have tried pushing to the side, stabbing straight down, jabbing away to eventually get maybe 10% but inevitably it means I also hit the cookie and crumbs come up. Any help suggestions appreciated.

For your Australian fans - hard time finding some of the products I have managed to find:

Meringue Powder, Shortening, glycerine at the following stores: cakes around town, lollipop cake supplies and baking pleasures. Baking pleasures and lollipop cake supplies have the 2 oz squeeze bottles. I've seen these come up endlessly as not easily or available in some countries so thought I would share. They vary in price so worth shopping around. They are based all based in Brisbane.

Despite searching endlessly - amazon and ebay great but shipping to Australia is cost prohibitive and i kept getting American sites. The above finds were from a newsletter a friend sent on - so accidental.

I do have some pictures which will share on pinterest when I get them off my phone.

I have also managed to get some of your products from an american store (including postage) for less than the only shape shifter set i found here.

Sorry i know this is long (many apologies) and probably in the wrong place so feel free to move to a place more appropriate.

Thank you to you and all the cookie community that are so generous with the knowledge.
