Just made 3 batches of these for a bake sale at school. They turned out so cute - I even did one with our school colors. Super excited to set them up tomorrow. Thanks for your excellent tutorial. I live in a hot/humid climate (no a/c in my kitchen) so it took a bit of trial and error to get my dough to roll properly but it all came out beautifully in the end :)

In reply to <a href="https://www.sweetsugarbelle.com/2011/06/lollypop-cookies/comment-page-1/#comment-49475">maria</a>.

The sugar cookie recipe that I use calls for 2 cups butter mixed well with 2 cups of granulated sugar. Add 2 tsp vanilla and 4 eggs (0ne at a time). Then mix in 5 cups of flour. If the dough seems too sticky I will often add a little more flour. Color the dough and refrigerate. If the dough is too stiff after refrigeration, let it warm up at room temp for a little bit.
It takes a little practice to roll out the dough. I've had times were it cracks and breaks and other times it has been too soft too. Just be patient and keep trying. :)
