Decorated Princess Cookies
You know how it is with princesses, they think they rule the world {or at least that’s my daughter theory}.
Leave it to a princess to show up right in the middle of a fall cookie blitz. Hopefully, these princess cookies are cute enough to pardon the interruption.
I pieced my princess cookies from a gingerbread girl and a small round gumpaste cutter.
Using I knife I slightly trimmed the arms, and added an extra circle of dough for a bun. If you want to skip the piecing the design will work fine without the round, I just wanted a little extra room to work.
To make these cookies you will need:
- Fleshtone 20-second icing {for different shades click the highlighted link}
- Deep pink piping and 20-second icing
- Light pink piping and 20-second icing
- Brown piping and 20-second icing
- A tiny bit of black, yellow, white, and purple 20-second icing
Begin by flooding the face and neck area along with the top layer of the skirt {and if there’s a word for that specific part of the dress, please let me know}.
Once the first section has set, add the first section of hair, bodice, and the rest of the skirt.
Wait a bit, then add the second layer of hair and sleeves.
Finally, use flesh tone icing to add arms. Let the cookie dry.
Clean up the design with piped details. I added a jeweled crown, a swoop of hair, eyes, a mouth, pearls, and a few dress details.
Mix with other princess-themed cookies for a royal treat.
