Bunny Face Cookies
Just in case you’re wondering, I am totally aware that Easter is over. But if ol’ Willy Wonka can do it, so can I. I’m getting ahead. Or maybe just catching up. In any case, I made these cookies and took lots of pictures. I could’ve saved them for next year, but if I don’t share them now by next Easter I will have noticed every single flaw. Twice. Then I’ll change my mind about posting them period and will have wasted two hours of my life taking photos I never used. A very dire situation indeed.
So, here they are. Easter bunnies, a week late. It’s a good thing late bunnies are as cute as punctual ones.
To make these cookies you will need:
- White piping and flood icing {make the flood closer to 15-20 second consistency}
- Pink 20-second icing
- Black piping icing
Begin by outlining and flooding the cookie. Give it a little time to dry.
When the base is dry {at least to the touch} add cheeks. To do this, place a large-ish dot of white flood icing on one cheek. Let dry for 20-30 minutes then do the same to the other side.
Once the cheeks have dried use pink 20-second icing to add the nose and ear detail.
Finish up with eyes and fwiskers {fake whiskers}.
Make them now and people might think you’re weird, but make them next Easter and everyone will love you!
Seriously though, I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!
